Sweet, savory, and perfectly marinated. These Korean Marinaded Eggs are an easy way to elevate any meal—soft, flavorful, and packed with umami goodness!

Ingredients

  • For boiling eggs:
    • 1 tbsp salt
    • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • For marinade:
    • 1/2 cup soy sauce
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 1/4 small white onion, sliced
    • 1 green onion stalk, chopped
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 Thai chili peppers
    • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and vinegar.
  2. Reduce heat to a low simmer (rolling boil) and carefully add eggs. Boil for 6 minutes.
  3. Remove eggs and place in an ice bath for 10 minutes.
  4. Gently crack eggs from the bottom (wide end) with a spoon and peel.
  5. Submerge peeled eggs in the marinade mixture.
  6. Refrigerate overnight for maximum flavor.
  7. Storage: Keeps for 3–4 days in the fridge.
