Ingredients
- For boiling eggs:
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- For marinade:
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 small white onion, sliced
- 1 green onion stalk, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Thai chili peppers
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and vinegar.
- Reduce heat to a low simmer (rolling boil) and carefully add eggs. Boil for 6 minutes.
- Remove eggs and place in an ice bath for 10 minutes.
- Gently crack eggs from the bottom (wide end) with a spoon and peel.
- Submerge peeled eggs in the marinade mixture.
- Refrigerate overnight for maximum flavor.
- Storage: Keeps for 3–4 days in the fridge.
