Fresh, tangy, and zesty Tomatillo Salsa Verde — perfect for tacos, grilled meats, or dipping!
Ingredients
- 1 lb tomatillos, husked and rinsed
- 2–4 jalapeño or serrano chiles, coarsely chopped (seeded for milder salsa)
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- ¼ white onion, cut into quarters
- 1 bunch cilantro, washed and chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Chicken bouillon, to taste
Instructions
- Prep: Wash cilantro and chop in half. Cut onion into quarters. Peel garlic.
- Boil: In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add tomatillos, chiles, garlic, and onion. Boil until tomatillos turn from bright green to a lighter color.
- Blend: Transfer boiled ingredients to a blender. Add salt and chicken bouillon to taste. Pulse until smooth.
- Finish: Add cilantro and pulse a few more times until the salsa reaches your desired consistency.
- Serve: Use immediately or store in the fridge for later!
