Rich, smoky, and spicy Red Salsa 🌶️ — perfect for tacos, eggs, or dipping!

Ingredients

  • 2 Roma tomatoes
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • ¼ white onion
  • 4 California chilis, deseeded
  • 5–10 chili arbol, deseeded (for milder spice)
  • Optional: 1 jalapeño or serrano for extra heat
  • Salt, to taste
  • Chicken bouillon, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep: Peel and deseed chilis as needed. Cut onion into quarters and peel garlic.
  2. Boil: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add tomatoes, garlic, onion, California chilis, and chili arbol. Boil 5–10 minutes, until tomato skin starts to peel.
  3. Blend: Transfer ingredients to a blender. Add optional jalapeño or serrano for extra heat. Season with salt and chicken bouillon to taste. Pulse until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Serve: Use immediately or store in the fridge for later!
