Fresh, tangy, and zesty Tomatillo Salsa Verde 🌿 — perfect for tacos, grilled meats, or dipping!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb tomatillos, husked and rinsed
  • 2–4 jalapeño or serrano chiles, coarsely chopped (seeded for milder salsa)
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • ¼ white onion, cut into quarters
  • 1 bunch cilantro, washed and chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Chicken bouillon, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep: Wash cilantro and chop in half. Cut onion into quarters. Peel garlic.
  2. Boil: In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add tomatillos, chiles, garlic, and onion. Boil until tomatillos turn from bright green to a lighter color.
  3. Blend: Transfer boiled ingredients to a blender. Add salt and chicken bouillon to taste. Pulse until smooth.
  4. Finish: Add cilantro and pulse a few more times until the salsa reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Serve: Use immediately or store in the fridge for later!
